The name Mitch Desunia is synonymous to perfection in style and comfort in wearing, with fashion that looks forward and yet classic in its elegance.
Mitch’s love for fashion became evident during his early years. Grew up in a house along the shore, it was his hobby to draw faces and dresses in the sand after school. He has to draw fast so he could finish it before the wave comes and erase them all. The idea of business and profit came to his mind by making paper dolls and dresses that he sells to classmates and friends at the age of 8.
Mitch took up Electronics and Communications Engineering at Technological University of the Philippines as no other choice being a scholar of the Department of Science and Technology. Still wanted to pursue fashion as it is his passion, Mitch took short courses in Fashion Design and helped his mom in their small dress shop. Mitch then took a call center job and with perseverance was able to establish Mitch Desunia Haute Couture on March 15, 2009. Its main lines are high fashion gowns and dresses and eventually started producing designer blouse, pants, corporate suits, blazers, barong tagalong, event costumes and corporate uniforms. Its top clients are Convergys Corporation, Pal Maritime Corporation and some well known politicians in Metro Manila, Cavite and Bicol.
The first shop was situated in Moonwalk Village. Six months after, a branch was put up in Bacoor, Cavite. The Mitch Desunia Haute Couture is now located at Pamplona III, Las Piñas, along Alabang-Zapote Road.
Mitch Desunia Haute Couture continues to expand and strengthen by partnering with Hizon’s Catering Services and other suppliers to capture a huge percentage of its market. His creations are featured at The Island Weddings Magazine and The Wedding Digest Magazine. Passionate about his work, progressive, and very much a keen businessman, Mitch is known for taking care of his clients, keeping them happy and satisfied with his creations and provides unlimited image consultation.
